Marijuana is simply a mixture of stems, leaves and flowering of the hemp plant. For over a decade marijuana has been illegal; marijuana is a well-known and disapproved issue in today's society. Marijuana has a long history; it was first used for medicine and spiritual healings; then others began to find other uses for it and society saw it as being a horrible thing which caused it to become illegal. There have been many slanderous claims that are made about marijuana in recent history, but none the less researchers are slowly unveiling the truth about marijuana. Marijuana should be made legal in all states for it is not harmful and can be used in the good doing of many. The legalization of marijuana would not cause as much harm as people try to make it seem. .
In today's time marijuana has become a big issue about whether or not it should or should not be made legal. In picking this issue research will be done to give further knowledge about what marijuana is, what it can be used for and how it can help us. If marijuana is made legal taxpayers such as, you and I will stop wasting our money on incarcerating those who are caught with marijuana and start using it to better the world. Marijuana is not a gateway drug people do not have an addiction for the use of marijuana as they do for cigarettes or heroine. I have heard many of my peers and others talk about the effect marijuana has on them and why they feel that it should be legal. People use marijuana as something to do to free one's mind. Others say that marijuana is an over abused illegal drug and that if made legal that drug traffickers will be hard to catch. Some states have yet to legalize marijuana because they feel that the medical use of marijuana has not been properly studied. .
I have read a lot of facts that were strong enough to encourage me to write about this issue; but there are still questions that I have that have not yet been answered.
