Walt Disney World


            Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Florida was established in 1971. Today it receives over millions of families visiting its parks each year. Walt Disney World covers 30,080 acres of land and on that it has four major theme parks, two water parks, six golf courses, many resorts, and the Downtown Disney shopping area. Walt Disney World was created to supplement California's Disneyland.

             The first theme park in Walt Disney World was Magic Kingdom. In Magic Kingdom, there are six "lands " creating the park. These "lands " are Adventureland, Tomorrowland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, Liberty Square, and Main Street U.S.A. Magic Kingdom is famous for its icon, Cinderella Castle which stands in the middle of the park. Magic Kingdom was built to suit all ages in a family. You can look into the past and see a little of the future while you are there. Adventureland is themed to resemble remote jungles, which represents the mystery of exploring foreign lands. It contains classic rides such as the Swiss Family Treehouse, the Enchanted Tiki Room, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Tomorrowland is set in an intergalactic city, the concept of the future from 1950. The Tomorrowland attractions give you an opportunity to participate in the blueprint of the future. The most famous attraction in Tomorrowland is Space Mountain; there are also other rides such as Astro Orbiter, Stitch's Great Escape, and many more. In Frontierland, guests can relive the American Old West. They can also explore the mysteries of the Rivers of America as the Native Americans did. Famous attractions of Frontierland are Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, and the Country Bear Jamboree. Fantasyland is the newest and largest of all the lands. It is fairytale/carnival themed. Fantasyland is dedicated to the young at heart who believe if they wish upon a star their dreams will come true. Some of the attractions include the Mad Tea Party, "Its a Small World, " and Peter Pan's Flight.
