Tough Decisions in The Crucible

Do you remember a time when you had to make a decision, but you didn't want to choose either choice? During the play, The Crucible, many big decisions were made. Some were good decisions and some were bad, but they were all very difficult to make. The Crucible is a play written by Arthur Miller in which many people are accused of witchcraft and have to make big decisions that may affect their life.
Rebecca Nurse was a character in The Crucible with a big decision to make. Rebecca had eleven children and twenty-six grandchildren. She has been around so many children that she decides to help with Betty. Everyone believes that Betty will not wake up because she is bewitched, but Rebecca just thinks it's nature and she is just sick or tired. Rebecca could either go along with this, or she could ignore everyone and just think that Betty is either tired or sick and is not responding to anything. Both of these choices are hard because it is easy to go along with everyone, but that's not what she thinks. If she does not think that Betty is bewitched, then everyone else is going against her. Rebecca continues to think what she actually believes and says that Betty just needs some rest and then she will wake up. Because of Rebecca's belief, she eventually loses her life because she stood up for what she believed. .
The servant, Tituba, had a big decision to make, and it was unlike the decision of Rebecca. In the beginning of the play, many girls danced around a fire. Supposedly, Tituba said spells and conjured the devil. The next morning, Betty Parris was in bed and would not wake up. Mr. Parris and many others were worried. Then someone had said that they saw the girls dancing and Abigail began to speak. She said that Tituba was singing her Barbados songs as they danced around the fire the night before. Abigail also said that Tituba and Ruth conjured the spirits. Immediately, Tituba was accused of being a witch.
