Luke portrays a different aspect that separates itself from the other gospels of Matthew, Mark, and John. Luke's presentation of Jesus is largely focused on the humanity and compassion for the outcasts of society. Essentially, Luke is a narrative that depicts the incidents that occur in the life of Jesus. What does it say about women? Context.
There are multiple theories regarding the authorship of the Gospel of Luke. However, the gospel itself does not tell us anything specific about his methods but hints at many possibilities of who the true author of Luke is. Both the Book of Acts and the Gospel of Luke are related very closely to each other. Acts 1:1 proves that Luke and Acts contain the same author. However, we still cannot determine the author directly or indirectly even by examining the Book of Acts.
One possible theory is based from the second century. It states that Luke the physician is the author of Luke through Acts. We must first ask ourselves whether this is an old tradition or not. "H.J. Cadbury states that at the end of the second century, the presupposition that a canonical Gospel must have an apostolic author could have led to the inference that Luke was the author on the basis of comparing the "we" in Acts with the allusions by Paul to his companions during his imprisonment.
