The Meaning of Life (Or Lack Thereof)

The Meaning of Life (Or Lack There Of)

I hope you don’t mind me saying so, but this life you are presently living is completely meaningless. I know it is your nature to believe that you have some greater purpose and that you’re missing out on something in this life, but the fact is that this is the way evolution created you, because no matter how hard life gets, how much physical pain you’re in, or what obstacle are in your way you still keep going. It’s quite amazing really.

If you look at the human world from an objective point of view, there is no general movement toward a greater good or glory, only the same damn thing that’s been going on since the beginning of the human species: suffering and the occasional happiness with the hope that it will all get better some day. One who has never felt physical pain could have the worst experience of their life when breaking their arm. People who have undergone constant suffering day by day every day of their lives could have the best day of their life when the suffering ends, even though that’s nothing compared to just a normal day for you. Suffering is relative, everyone’s life is relative, and so a balance is created. There will always be the oppressed and the oppressor, but no one is to say who will be happier. For in your mind you have the power to create either a heaven or hell.

The sad thing is that what keeps each and every human being go
