Recycling - The Reuse of Waste

Many people care for it differently. Some people help the community by picking up trash, while others organize protest and chain themselves up to trees scheduled for cut down. Recycling is a good way to care for Mother Nature. More people should recycle for the benefit of earth. To begin, recycling helps people use less energy. For one thing, the United States uses an enormous amount of energy. Twenty percent of the energy in the world is used by Americans. The U.S. only makes up for five percent of the world's population. Secondly, recycling significantly reduces energy when using recycled material. The energy spent on using recycled steel only uses seventy-four percent of the energy that it takes to make and use new steel. Making new cans out of recycled cans saves energy on transporting the aluminum ore from other countries. Lastly, conserving energy is important. The amount of energy left for future generations is uncertain because humans heavily rely on nonrenewable energy. Humans will eventually make a bigger transition onto renewable energy but since it is not yet as efficient as nonrenewable energy, humans have to conserve as much of the energy that is given (Recycling, Opposing).
Recycling also, positively affects the atmosphere. Firstly, the United States emits a tremendous amount of greenhouse gasses. The U.S. has millions of people who use electricity, cars and products from various companies that involved either machines or robots in the process. All of these things will have byproducts which are greenhouse gasses that are being emitted every day, leaving a negative effect on the atmosphere. However, recycling reduces the amount of greenhouse gasses from being emitted. As stated before, making a product from new material, compared to making it from recycled material uses much more energy. A byproduct in the process of making a product is the greenhouse gasses that are emitted in the process.
