Racism Towards African Americans

Racism has been around for so long it has slowly become a tolerance for many African Americans. For many years after the Civil War, when blacks were set free, the black population was almost never treated equal until around the late nineteenth century. Tom Robinson, O. J. Simpson, and Rodney King are victims of racism and many others like them in this country are also victims of the same thing. Tom Robinson is accused of raping a white woman, O. J. Simpson is arrested for supposedly murdering his ex-wife along with her friend, and Rodney King was ruthlessly beaten nearly to death by the L.A.P.D. on March 3, 1991.

In the fictional novel, gTo Kill A Mockingbird,h there is also a case of racism in the small town of Maycomb, Alabama during the 1930fs. His name was Tom Robinson, a fellow member of Maycombfs small black community. There are three other main characters in the story and, there names are: Atticus who was Tomfs attorney and a father to a boy and girl named Jem and Scout. Mr. Robinson is being charged with an account of raping Mayella Ewell in her home. Mr. Ewell threatened Atticus by saying that he will get his revenge on him for protecting Tom Robinson. The jury of ch

Three years later,The same police force handled the investigation pertaining to the trial of O.J. Simpson. Mr. Simpson was accused of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman. They were discovered by a nearby neighbor named Bettina Rasmussen, who was walking two dogs. During Mr. Simpsonfs trial there were a total of over 1,000 different jurors in the case(Thomas L. Jones). A factor that helped the case better is DNA testing on both victims and O.J.Simpson. In 1979, O.J. Simpsonfs first child drowns and dies on the day of August 18. Some believe that when his first child was killed, O.J. Simpson might have become depressed and continue being that way until he let out his feelings on his ex-wife and her friend. There were no actual witness to the murders the almost immediately was charged with both accounts. After the trial people became even more became upset about racist. There is a group of people called the gNAACPh and it has now become an association of African Americans. There are a very few number of other different cultures left in the NAACP. Well, they imminently jumped in and said that one of the reasons that he was accused was that he was black. Since then the NAACP has been in high gear ever since(Thomas L. Jones).
