Responsibility in Romeo and Juliet

Responsibility is a trait that we take into account as we grow older. The older we get, there comes more responsibility to take on. For example, we must be responsible for our actions and how that may affect the lives of others. In the play Romeo and Juliet, by William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet take on a lot of responsibility such as making quick and proper decisions like their plan to marry. There were many factors that lead to Romeo and Juliet's death. The three people that should be held responsible for their deaths should be Capulet, Friar Laurence and Romeo. .
Firstly, Capulet's actions and the decisions he made for his daughter Juliet lead her to her death. When he changes his mind and allows Paris to marry Juliet, this is a factor towards her death. Capulet believes that he is helping Juliet by getting over her grief by sending her off to marry Paris. When Juliet refuses he is upset and threatens to disown her. This is what led to Juliet's death because she is put in a dilemma. She is faced with marrying Paris and betraying Romeo or be disowned from her own father. This anxiety brought her to her death. In addition to that, he pushes the wedding a day earlier after Juliet finally agrees to marry Paris. This causes the plan of Friar Laurence to go awry. Therefore Capulet is responsible for the death of his daughter Juliet.
Secondly, Friar Laurence is also responsible for the death of Romeo and Juliet. This is because it was his plan in the first place. He tells Juliet to take a potion that will feign her death so that she can live happily ever after with Romeo in Mantua. The fact that it all went awry, he should be responsible for their deaths. Also, it was him who married Romeo and Juliet in the first place. The marriage is the root of their death because that's where it all started. If they did not marry, then they wouldn't have died so quickly. Their marriage causes a lot of problems because they are both from feuding families that hate each other.
