Clearly, there are significant problems with the increase of SUV on the road. Given the present levels of pollution their emissions release, Should the severity of this continue without intervention, it is quite possible that photochemical smog may endanger human life. (Crenson 153). Auto buyers should keep in mind, if they don’t need a giant vehicle they shouldn’t buy them, but people will buy whatever they want. This is why we faced with our air quality slowly deteriating. Hopefully all automobile owners especially SUV owners will have their vehicles checked and adjusted regularly. This will reduce the emission of pollutants to some degree. Theses buyers of the SUVS need to educate themselves on their choices, and make the most environmentally sound decisions.
