Description

Since my early childhood I've always been a heavy set kind of guy. The only exercising I did was the one that was required by the sports I participated in high school. All that has changed because for the past couple of months one of my favorite things to do is to Work out at Time Out Health Spa. I've been going to lift weight and run ¾ of a mile for the past two month with a consistency that I would hardly believe my self possible. To many people the actual activities that are processed inside the gym hold the only importance in a typical workout but to me actually getting there is half the workout. .
A typical pre-workout in the life of David Vasquez is very simple. It begins the moment I move my hand towards the direction of my old mahogany colored cupboard where I reach to find my worn down navy blue shirt and my newly washed gym shorts that had just come hot out of the dryer and folded into my drawer. The next step, after changing garments is to replace my fairly new pair of white K-Swiss shoes. To my surprise the shoes still hold that enchanted aroma of new. I stand up and look into my closet and reach for my old pair of what used to be white K-Swiss shoes, but now they have a grayish worn down color that is also covered with brown dirt that has accumulated over the years. These shoes hold the smell of saturated humidity and rotten cheese. Then I extend both of my arms and begin to tie the old decaying shoe laces one by one in precipitant manner. .
Then I approach my slightly dimmed desk that is covered by dust and old papers from my high school senior project. On top of all those paper is the last and most important piece of my pre-workout session, my workout gloves. I progress over and grab a hold of one of the gloves and turn it outside in. I can still feel the glove a little bit wet and humid from the sweat left from the day prior. I position each of the finger pockets in each of my fingers and follow by pulling one of the straps with Velcro to tighten them up.
