            The arms industry is a global business that manufactures weapons and military technology and equipment. It consists of commercial industry involved in research and development, production, military material, equipment, and facilities. Arms producing companies is also referred to as defense contractors as they produce weapons and military equipment mainly for the armed forces of the states. Different Departments of government also operate in the arms industry buying and selling weapons, ammunition and other military items. Products include guns, ammunition, missiles, military aircraft, military vehicles, ships, and more. Lockheed Martin is an American global aerospace, defense, security and advanced technologies company with worldwide interests in selling. It was formed by combining two arms companies that had already existed, Lockheed Corporation and Martin Marietta, into one big, super arms manufacture in March 1995. their main headquarters is located in Bethesda, Maryland. .
             Lockheed Martin employs 116,000 people worldwide providing job opportunities for all type of cultures. Today, Lockheed Martin industries is worth 63.4 billion dollars and is constantly on the rise each day due to new technology being built. The company employs some of the most brilliant engineers around the world which allows them to invent new things every day. Their knowledge of technology on weapons is better than any in the world and that allows them to obtain huge contract job from government organizations. On August 31, 2006 Lockheed Martin won a $3.9 billion contract from NASA to design and build the CEV capsule, later named Orion for the rocket in the Constellation Program. It was designed to transport astronauts from earth to the international space center in record time. Lockheed Martin surprised me on just about everything they did, it's by far one of the most high tech engineering companies in the world, if not the best.
