The song where is the love clearly describes the present world that we are all living in. Violence and terrorism are escalating. These things have become a common household issue. If we are going to decipher the song line per line, there are many sociological issues being taken into serious consideration, like racism and terrorism. Moreover, the rap song clearly states how the media is of great influence to the youth. Why is this so? Since violence creates so much hype and interests in the world, broadcasting them generates lots of profits for the media company. They never consider what impacts it causes to the minds of the people watching it especially the younger ones.

The song suggests that we should never see our brothers as black or white, as Asians or Europeans, as rich or poor, but as our equals. Once we discriminate, we can never understand each other. When misunderstanding starts, chaos kicks into high gear. Products and consequences of chaos are innocent people dying and suffering, mostly women and children.

As far as I see it, most of us say this and that about how the persons in the government should act, but to no avail, we fail to look at ourselves. We fail to practice what we are preaching. It is clearly indicated in the song. Most often all of us have opinions about current issues but we fail to consider our own doings. As far as the song is concerned, we are all preachers of the truth yet non-doers of what we preach. It is such a sad thing to realize.
