Hearing God
HEARING GOD’S MUSIC “Let he who has ears to hear, use them.” It is not enough that we have ears to hear, but that we use our ears to listen, to comprehend, and to learn from our surroundings. Some people fail to realize the truth, or ignore it altogether. By that I mean that there are people who go to church all of their lives, yet never seem to grasp the power of the words that they hear, and the power of the Lord God almighty. His works are all around us, but it’s not enough to see it, but to believe it. It’s not enough to hear it, but to receive it. It is necessary therefore, for one to open his mind to the words of God, and to listen and respond willingly to his calling, for he calls us all, and gives us all various tasks in life. If you merely hear but do not truly listen, then you are foolish, for it is important to hear God’s music in your life, to want to do his will, and to do it without question of the things that are ahead. Listen to what is around you, take it all in, and know that God is ever-present, ever-living, and all-powerful in strength and in truth. The word of God is a powerful thing, the music of God is his calling to you, and

He speaks of Jesus knowing the scriptures, and that, if the son of God memorized scripture and saw it as important for him, a man void of sin, then surly we sinners should at least study and lament over the Bible. He also brings up a point that is mentioned frequently amongst many teachers in many genres and aspects of many things in life: that we need to set a scheduled time and place to carry out our prayer and Bible study. I disagree however, I believe that you should keep a constant connection with God, one that isn’t severed at any time. If you get used to starting prayers with “Dear God,” and ending them with, “Amen”, chances are you wont have time to pray constantly. On the contrary, if you merely bring your thought constantly before him, you will find yourself to be much better off. Though I do believe however, that you should design
