Pshcology of a Psycho
According to certain psychologists, people are born good and then change throughout their lives according to how they were treated as a child. Some also believe that people’s behaviors are based on certain needs that each person has. Other psychologists believe that behaviors are conditioned throughout their lives and that they learn each behavior through constant reinforcement and punishment. Eimik Warmir is a Jiu Jistsu martial artist from Hamburg Germany. He is also skilled in many other forms of kung fu. Eimik grew up in Germany on the East Side of the Berlin wall and had an extremely poor family. His father and mother were cruel and unjust to all of their children and punished them often. Eimik’s father was a drunk and beat his sons and daughters. His father spent what little money they had on booze. After the Soviet Union was disbanded in 1991, life was better but he was still very poor. He was jumped one day by the neighborhood bully and was hurt very seriously. He went to the hospital and took him 1 month to recover. Eimik was emotionally and physically hurt permanently. In spite of this, Eimik took up Jiu Jitsu in order to be able to defend himself and soon became very good. He grew up and left Germany and went to
In conclusion Eimik received mental therapy through a psychiatrist and is now a very well and mentally focused person who enjoys his life and the people he lives it with. According to a psychologist named Maslow, Eimik is at a level of safety. Maslow’s theory is that everyone has certain needs. These needs determine the behavior of that person if those needs are not met. Meta-needs are the needs people are striving to have and acquire. These “meta-needs” are truth, justice, beauty, and goodness. The reason Eimik is at the level of safety is because he feels as though he is lost and the only way to find his way is to have money, or fight. This gives him artificial safety. Maslow also described other needs. These needs are cognitive and aesthetic needs. A cognitive need is based on knowledge and understanding. aesthetic needs are based on beauty in life and your surroundings. Eimik has met his cognitive needs because he is very knowledgeable in the martial arts and other kung fu and that satisfies him. Eimik’s aesthetic needs however are not met. The reason being is because he no longer has is Do-Jo and is barely getting by, and doesn’t have surroundings that are beautiful to him. Eimik pits his meta-needs against the world, which is sick and dark. When Eimik does this, he feels inadequate because of his lack of safety. The way Eimik will become “self actualized” is to accept that there are other alternatives to making money and doing something he likes. When he does this, he will move up the ladder on Maslow’s hierarchy. A psychologist named Carl Rogers has another theory based on somewhat the same principals. Rogers believes that at birth, all people have the potential to be good people. He believes that it is the way other people treat you throughout your life that determines your behaviors. At birth people have a
