In the short story, “A Rose for Emily,” by WilliamFaulkner, Miss Emily Grierson had gone crazy. She was a lost, lonely women, who seemed as though she lived in the past. Miss Emily was losing her mind throughout the story. The town believed she was insane because she never seemed to leave her house, lived with an awful smell, and she was believe to be suicidal. Miss Emily Grierson seemed as though she was insane or losing her mind. She was always weird and the town always seemed to pay particular attention to what happened there. The house she lived in was an eye sore and was falling apart. The neighborhood around her was garages and cotton gins. Miss Emily’s house was the only home left.
