Should Marijuana be Legal
There are many drugs that are legal that are killing people everyday and harming their bodies and the government has gave them the okay sign. Why not give the okay sign to making marijuana legal? Studies have shown that marijuana is more beneficial than harmful. Marijuana is less dangerous than some drugs that are legal, such as alcohol and tobacco. Comparing marijuana to alcohol and tobacco we know for a fact that alcohol causes cirrhosis of the liver, and cigarettes cause lung cancer. And that both of them are carcinogens which speeds up cancer. The only thing that we can point out that marijuana does is causing you to loose your memory, give you a slow reaction time and a high that last for a few hours. Marijuana has been found less dangerous to use. In fact, some doctors, judges, and politicians are saying that it is okay for the use of marijuana. Marijuana show no long-term effect, therefor it should be made legal. Marijuana should be legalized because there are no reasons why it should not be legal. If marijuana were legal it would save the government lots of money. Each year in the United States we currently spend billions of dollars to chase peaceful people who happen to like to get high. No matter how bad the stereotypes of marijuana is, it has been proving that as many as five million patients in the US has benefit form the use of marijuana and because of that marijuana should be made legal. In addiction that what I have wrote I can finally say that I think that marijuana should be made legal, because for one, for what the studies has shown; it shows that marijuana is more beneficial than harmful. It shows that marijuana benefits more people with illness while on the other hand cigarettes and alcohol are killing more and more everyday.
