Wade is one of the most controversial court cases the Supreme Court has been faced with. The decision based on this case has caused a serious and long-lasting debate between "right to life" advocates who typically limit abortion to those rare cases where it is medically necessary to save the life of the mother, and the advocates of a "right to choose" who favor leaving all questions of pregnancy and its termination to the decision of the pregnant woman. Without a woman's right to do what she may choose with her body, she is stripped of her freedom and liberty. If for personal reasons a woman wants an abortion, which is currently her constitutional right, she has the freedom to do so. Although unfortunate, some women cannot afford to have a child. With a child comes the expense of diapers, food, clothes and many other things that can lead to a great cost. If a woman is already having a tough life, being forced to give birth when inadequately prepared will only make it more difficult. If a woman can't afford to have the child, then she shouldn't be forced to have it. It is better that she have an abortion so she can concentrate on bettering her life, rather then try to support both her and her child with the full knowledge of its impossibilities.
