Os Guiness said “For each of us the real purpose is personal and passionate: to know what we are to do and why.” How did I figure out what my real purpose to know what I am to do and why? I had to ask myself the right questions. Even though I had a rough idea and I didn’t exactly know what questions to ask and how to put them on paper and express them here to you. I decided to do a little research and see how others set there goals while in college. The two resources I used were mygoals.com and our course textbook Peak Learning and Keys to Success. Reading the information in Keys to Success has helped tremendously.
The questions in Keys to Success have made it much easier to put these goals on paper. The questions I asked my self were: How am I going to be organized? Before I started class, my Admissions Counselor advised me to get my hands on a weekly planer as soon as possible and it was great advice. I also use it as a to-do list and check off items as I go. The second question was, when am I going to find the time? Time management is going to be tricky. I am trying to find the balance and its going to take the organization goal to become successful at finding time to make sure every need is met. Another quest
ion was why did I choose to go to college? The above questions are answered by time categorized goals.
