I chose to pursue a Master's Degree in Business Administration for a few different reasons. The first reason I decide to pursue a graduate degree was to further my career and maybe change careers in the future. Another reason to pursue a graduate degree is that I want to be the first woman in our family to have such a degree. Probably the greatest reason for pursing this degree is the diversity of this particular program. I love the idea of not having to step foot in a classroom to complete this degree. I have decided to pursue an MBA to further my career and maybe change my career in the future. I currently work, as a Clinical Coordinator for Evanston Northwestern Healthcare and the only way I am able to advance to a greater position is to obtain a Master's Degree. I am taking on a new position as Clinical Nurse Manager next month. I have been turned down for an upper management position based on the fact that I do not have a Master's Degree. The Organization I work for is willing to hire me as long as I am enrolled in a Master's Degree Program. I have been with this Organization for eight years and finally decided the only way to advance is to pursue an MBA. I am hoping that this degree will give me the expertise and skills needed to advance my career within The Evanston Northwestern Healthcare Organization.
