On average I spend five hours weekly watching television. It makes me mad that the majority of this time is spent watching what I believe to be stupid commercials instead of the actual television programs. When I come home from a long day of school and work; I look forward to loafing on my big red couch and watching T.V. There are several different television shows that I enjoy watching. Unfortunately, these shows are relentlessly interrupted by ridiculous commercials. I do not know of anyone who enjoys having their program interrupted by such silly inconveniences.
My time is very valuable and I do not appreciate it being wasted on harebrained advertisements. Most commercials either make no sense to the viewer or have actors and actresses with very little experience in the field of showbiz. You
would think that with over six billion people in this world producers could at least come up with more experienced characters to waste our time. In return this would help make their commercials more enjoyable to watch.
When I see a commercial on T.V. my natural reaction is to change the channel. Unfortunately, nine times out of ten my search for something other than a commercial I have seen a hundred times, is unsuccessful. There are entirely way too many commercials broadcasted on television, and to make matters worse the same ones are continuously repeated. For example, how many times during a thirty minute episode do you see the same AT&T telephone advertisements? I have seen them more times than I can count. Repetitiveness is not very appealing, people like to see a variety of different thi
