Most people are wrapped up in the detailedness of work. Thoreau was stimulated by the natural things he found in life; he shunned the artificial. For Thoreau the answer was to live with happiness and simplicity. This could not only be done inexpensively, but only could be done, indeed, if one lived simply, with few possessions. Thoreau wants us to not only look at the wonderfulness of nature, but to become part of nature. “Let us spend one day as deliberately as Nature, and not be thrown off the track by every nutshell and mosquito’s wing that falls on the rails”
