Saddam Hussein was the president of Iraq between 1979 and 2003, during his counter productive reign Iraq flaunted the global standards of decency time and time again. The refusal of Iraq to join the American Imperialist dream resulted in the justifiable destruction of the regime. America and allies performed this duty under the altruistic guise of preventing a war to avoid excess criticism from idealists.
It was John Howard’s responsibility to the Australian people to support Dubya in his efforts. In exchange for our help we are being rewarded with technologically superior weapons specifically designed for pre-emptive strikes that will increase our political presence and the assurance that America will come to our aid if we need it, which is highly unlikely thanks to that assurance.
We are only doing our duty under God by purging those who would benefit from economic protectionism. By refusing to conform to the global economy, Saddam established his beliefs in direct contradiction to the United States world model. He simply would not allow foreign investors to siphon the o
il dollars out of Iraq, he would not privatize all his industries because he believed it in Iraq’s best interests to keep it local. And so he was warned, an excuse was found in weapons of mass destructions and by using the UN to its advantage the US has a plethora of trade sanctions placed on Iraq.
In addition to the creation of new markets for international investors due to the opening of a new market, by destroying an entire countries physical infrastructure the allies are creating the need for reconstruction. Of course the contracts for reconstruction in a typically American manner have been awarded to Australian and US business interests. This means more money and thus security for OUR precious homeland.
