Being in the Air Force is a great experience. When you first enlist in the Air Force there is the fear of the unknown; you are like a freshman, getting the feel for how things are done. Eventually, you learn the ropes and become kind of an expert on what you do in your job. Then there is a point in every airman’s career where they must decide whether to continue their career in the Air Force or go out into the civilian sector. This decision is not an easy one for some; one has to compare the pros and cons of staying in or getting out.

It’s no surprise that the government pays enlisted members far less than their civilian counterpart.
