King Tutankhamen, formerly known as Tutankhaten, came into power at age 9. He ruled from 1333 B.C until 1323 B.C. He was the son of King Akhenaton and Queen Kiya. His father was a very famous pharaoh and was considered as a god. Tutankhamen lived a short life of eighteen years, during which he married his older half sister, Ankhesenamum. During the time of his rule, life in Egypt was peaceful and old Egyptian traditions were revived.
