Helping people is something I have enjoyed since I was in Kindergarten and is something I want to pursue the rest of my life. Throughout grade school I was always a leader and loved helping others. At my elementary school, I was an accelerated reader and was chosen to help the other children in my class read. I enjoyed this tremendously. In fourth and fifth grade, I was a peer mediator and helped my peers solve conflicts between themselves. Attending ROPES courses, helping out in the cafeteria at lunch time, and being in the Junior Book Club also allowed me to work with other students.
