I was growing up. I’m really close to my siblings and I count on them for everything. My family and friends was the only people around when I was going through rough times and that’s why they are so valued to me. Another thing that I really value is my hometown. I was born in Alton, IL and spent a few years there. I then moved to Est. Louis, then to Carlyle. Out of all of them towns, none of them really felt at home to me. That feeling changed when I moved to Edwardsville, IL in 1997. It was a really nice town with a lot of nice people. There wasn’t gang banging and drug dealing on the corner like my previous homes. I truly believe if I would have stayed in my previous homes before I moved to Edwardsville, that I would be selling drugs on the street with no education. Edwardsville got me away from all that, and I’m very thankful. The last but not least thing that I value is my life. I thank the lord everyday that I’m still breathing. There are hundreds and hundreds of deaths everyday throughout this world and I’m still standing. Being alive is something that I take in to consideration everyday and you should to.
