Asian Religion
In the past 4,000 years in history, many religions and philosophies came to life. Seven of them stood out from the others because of the vast amount of followers each had. These seven religions are Taoism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, and Islam. Taoism no longer exists but the other six still thrive as more people convert to followers of the religions. These seven religions may seem extremely different from one another but underneath the outer layer, the inner lay out is extraordinarily similar to one another. The seven religions each had their separate ideas and goals. As different as their ideas were, the religions actually have a lot in common. Each religion strived to reach one ultimate goal. For example, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, and Hinduism all want to reach a paradise, whether it be Heaven, Nirvana, or Moksha.
Conflicts and disputes were also part of the religions. Taoism no longer exists; therefore it no longer has any problems in today¡¦s world. Christians are in a fight with Islamic Extremist groups for the 9/11 World Trade Center incident because Christians believe that it was they who caused it. Islam and Judaism are both fighting over the holy land of Jerusalem since both of the religions originated from there. Buddhism¡¦s origin Tibet wishes to separate from China and be independent. Hinduism has border problems between India and Pakistan and also between two different Hindu tribes called the Suttee and the Shi¡¦ite. Many think that the religions of the world today are the exact opposite of one another but in truth, they are all the same.
