Tess of the D’urbivilles is a Novel written by Thomas Hardy and was first published in 1971.It looks at the life of a girl called Tess D’urbiville and what happens to her as she grows up. Tess lives in a house in the countryside, and gets seduced by another man, which causes Angel, Tess’s husband to leave her on their wedding day, because angel couldn’t live with Tess not being pure. Alec’s seduction of Tess, which led to Tess being Pregnant and having a baby which later on dies. All this causes Tess to murder Alec and then run of with Angel who by now has forgiven Tess.The police find them and Tess is hung for murder Paragraph 1Tess’s feelings as she left home were those to regret she didn’t want to leave but inside Tess new she had to. Sadly she turned back to look one last time at Marlott, and then walked on to Talbothays.The difference between the valley is that there are 50 acres instead of just 10 at her home also Tess had never seen so many cows in one area at one time, also the quality of air from airy to light and being upon new scenes where no individuals eyes where upon her sent her spirits up wonderfully. The country folk who Tess became friends with make her feel that Tess has made the right decision coming to Talbothays, e.g. mr crick offers Tess some food, but Tess prefers do drink music where Tess has come to it is full of happiness & love she now has the sense of family which she never had at home. Everybody shares big meals and have lively conversations which will probably make Tess fell more at home. Tess is very tired as she falls asleep amid the dairy they describe her nostrils as “ as the snoring puffs from her nostrils. A typical day in June were Tess is drawn to the music of angels harp she makes her way out to angel to, the distance she had come in order to meat angel-which could mean that Tess fancies angel. Tess and her family where on there way to church in their best dresses, when they came across a path which was flooded they didn’t know how to get across so they held on to the trees and stood on the bank and slowly started to make their way across the flooded path, then angel came along and offered to carry the ladies over the water one by one, angel was drawn to Tess straight away.
