How to throw disc

There are many different ways to throw a disc or Frisbee. Today I would like to share some of them with you. These are the backhand, hammer, side arm, roller, and straddle put. I will also explain how and why a disc fly's the way that it does. .
The first throw is the Backhand Throw. This is the most commonly used throw. We start with our feet shoulder width apart, lining our shoulder's up with the target. Hold the disc with your thumb and forefinger, extending the arm in-line with the shoulders and holding the disc parallel with the ground. We do this to line up the shot. Reach across your chest being sure to keep the disc level. Now, pull the disc across your chest as flat as you can and release at the end of the throw. The disc will fly in a slight left-hooking pattern. For a left-handed player it will hook right because the disc is spinning in the opposite direction. Be sure to follow through. Put your whole body into the throw. This will greatly increase accuracy and distance. Once this basic form is learned a run-up can be added to the throw for more power. This requires lots of practice.
Next is the Hammer Throw. The left foot should be in front of the right and the shoulders perpendicular to the target. The disc is held with the thumb on the top of the disc and the index finger on the inside rim of the disc. It should look like you are pointing at someone. The disc is thrown overhand, releasing when your arm is at about a forty-five degree angle. The disc will fly straight, falling with a spiral. This is handy for getting over trees and playing in strong winds.
The Roller Throw is just like the Hammer but is released when the arm is level with the ground instead of at a forty-five degree angle. The disc will roll along the ground in a question mark-shape pattern. If the disc is thrown left-handed the pattern will curve in the opposite direction. Again this is due to the disc spinning in the opposite direction.
