Carnage in the name of religion

Throughout history religion has played a key role in shaping societies, and building nations. Religion has also been the cause of death and destruction that so often contradict its own teachings. This became the new definition of jihad, and the people followed.

As if this were not a dark enough chapter in world history, the soldiers responsible for the deaths of so many innocent lives were, in there minds, acting as good Christians. To make thinks worse, the Christian communities that believed Hitler to be wrong, refused to appose him and instead sat and watched as their friends and neighbors disappeared one family at a time.

Through manipulation and deception, for both political and personal gains, the ideals that are a foundation of faith, have been twisted into what is known as religion. Every major religion is based on simple guidelines for living life in a moral and righteous
