             The townspeople were very two minded towards the campers. They didn't like them very much but they still hung out with them for a good time.
             2. The McDermott family are a rich family who go to the port every holidays, they have a holiday home at the port, it is larger than most houses of permanent residence of the port. The parents have big hair and lots of jewellery. They have two boys who are into surfing who sped most of the summer at the jetty with the local kids.
             3. Blacky's behaviour was almost love sick, he didn't know how to act around Cathy because he didn't want to make a fool out of himself yet he wanted her to notice him. .
             4. When the people of the port found out about Dumby's shoot they were all really excited as there hadn't been a shooting in the port for ages so they all hurried down to the pub. Blacky felt the same as the other townsfolk until he found out it was Dumby.
             5. When Blacky was watching the Brady Bunch with his family he realised he should do something with Cathy or he might regret it. This is why he spoke to her.

Whenever Blacky goes to the point he gets scared because he remembers all of the ad stories he had been told about it, but when he arrives he realises that the houses are actually intact and no missing the doors and windows. The people were also the complete opposite of what he had been told about them, they were really friendly not nasty as he had been told at the pub at home.
             7. Dumby's family were appreciative of Blacky for attending his funeral because they knew that the two of them were such good friends. They showed their respect for him by inviting him back to their house for tea and scones and also gave him a ride home.
             8. The meaning of the dream was that blacky didn't like the racist people of the port calling the Aboriginals "Boongs", in his dream he tried to stop Dumby seeing the sign on the jetty. It also shows that Blacky accepts them for who they are and thinks they should be treated equally.
