Why we love Homework

We love homework. It’s true, I tell you! The preconceived stereotype of a student toiling with his homework has long been abolished, and the new student image is one of an angelic child sitting upright in desk listening attentively to the teacher in hope of gaining enlightenment. Boys are positively motivated, always wearing thick glasses and a somehow tangible halo. Nowadays, the best way to wake a heavy sleeping student is to softly whisper “Homework”. The student will most certainly bolt up ramrod straight, eyes alert, a pen ready in a deft hand, saying, “ Where’s the homework. I must do it. I love homework. It’s so beneficial!”

Truly, homework must be one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The other six are the school, the pen, the book, the library, teachers, Math lessons and textbooks. The students in the past were mostly juvenile delinquents, disobedient and obstinate. However, a new regime has begun, and students have begun to realise the benefits that homework brings about. Knowledge is a building, and homework is the cement that holds it steady. Homework revises what we learn in our beloved classrooms, paving the path of enlightenment for us. And teachers cannot be anything less than the kindest souls o


Fellow boys think that girls are incredibly attractive, and attempt to beguile them using Neanderthal charms that ensure that their chances of attaining a platonic relationship are astronomical. Their primitive charms include “impressive” physical feats. I must admit that I have succumbed to attraction too.
