Trojan War

The Trojan War was between the Trojans and the Greeks. Some believe there was no cause to the start of the war. There are many different stories of how is began but one that seems to be the most popular is Helen. They say she left Menelaus, her husband, and her daughter for a foreign seducer named Paris. Menelaus called upon all of Helens old suitors. They did not wish to go to war. Therefore the Greek ships set off to Troy for battle.
The Greeks had trouble finding Troy. They first landed in Mysia and prevailed against Telephus but suffered in the end. They came to a win but without Helen. The Greeks had no other choice but to turn around and go back home. Telephus came to Greece hoping for his wounds to be healed. Achilles was the only person that could heal Telephus, so he healed him and Telephus told the Greeks where Troy was in return.
The Greeks made their way to Troy and the battle took place in Troy and in its neighbors for the next nine years of the war. The neighboring kingdoms of Troy were supplying them Troy with supplies. Therefore the Greeks were sent to defeat these areas. The Greeks went on and destroyed most of Trojan economy and gathering resources in the process. The Greeks won many important battles and causing fall to the Trojan hero Hector. After all the work getting through Troy the Greeks could not break down the walls of Troy. The Greeks stole the statue of Troy. They could still not get past the walls of Troy so they had to think for a while and had to come up with a plan. Then clever Odysseus came up with an idea. He ordered for a giant wooden horse to be made and for it to be hollow enough for soldiers to fit inside.
They call this horse "The Trojan Horse." The statue was built by an artist named Epeius. A number of Greek warriors including Odysseus hid inside the horse. A man named Sinon was left behind. He pretended to be angry at the Greeks and told the Trojans that they had left him behind.
