Technology and Our Future

People always tend to seek the easy way out. They look for something that will make their lives easier. Computers and the internet have given us the ability to do that. This rage of technology has given us the ability to do more in less time. As technology advances, computers become faster and more powerful. Every day a better, more powerful and advanced computer is made, and the internet being the doorway to the future.

Computers effect the way children learn. In most schools there are computers in every classroom. Before computers research was done in a library with a pile of books spread all over the table. Thanks to computers and the internet research is no longer done that way. Now with the click of a button all the information you could ever need is at your finger tips. Human operated jobs could be taken by computers. No longer are deals confirmed with a handshake and a signed contract. Instead we have e-mails saying, “Thank you for your business.” Ashley Dunn, a staff writer for the Los Angeles Times, claims, “For us commoners, the cycle is not nearly so refines or exclusive but is more a mix of the many ways that technology has improved or worsened our lot in life” ( 469). How long will it be before everything is replaced with a keyboard and mouse? Technology has changed the job field. It now takes less people to do certain jobs. Unemployment is climbing and computers are partly to blame. Computers are creating a handicap that does not require a sticker.

Information used to help people. Now, with the internet and the freedom of speech, so many people are misinformed. People no longer have p
