Euthanasia

Doctor assisted suicide, this is a question facing many states in the US. I myself have had two close relatives who suffered at the end of their life. My grandpa was in his deathbed for two-years, not being able to move or talk, until finally his insides fill apart from all the medication and machines he was put on to keep him alive. All and all he suffered severely, so the question that remains is whether euthanasia should of been used. .
In my mind no, yes my grandpa suffered, but to aide in a persons suicide is murder. In an article written by Rosalyn Carter she states that euthanasia is not necessary. In this article it stated a fact quote: "Although some people may be sad and physically compromised during their last few months and years, these days can be an opportunity to appreciate life's last chapter and to reach out again to loved ones." .
You can have those few hours or years to cherish the great times you had with each other, remember the times of great joy. You can resolve past arguments, find long lost loved ones, and simply cherish all the great times you had, in essence you can put your heart and mind at rest. Your death may be the best times of your life. .
This article by Carter also stated that if we provide comfort for the loved one suffering, euthanasia will not be what they would be asking for. To do this we need to help our loved ones die in dignity. Insurance agency and other programs should offer help with their emotional needs as well as their physical. And if HMO's allowed doctors to prescribe the care needed for them to be comfortable. .
In conclusion euthanasia can be ignored, if the people who were dying were to die comfortably and happily. So that their heart and mind can be content. Emotionally and physically they will rest in piece. .
