during the time of the World War II era. The transport plane which is carrying a group of

English boys is shot down over the ocean and then crashes in a thick jungle on a deserted

island. Scattered by the wreck, the surviving boys lose each other and straggle to find one

another. The events in the novel the Lord Of The Flies lead the group of boys that

become stranded, into a life of savagery while they are on the island.

In the beginning of The Lord Of The Flies the group of boys, at first only two,

the two bigger boys of the group Piggy, and Rick find a conch shell which throughout

the novel it will be representing law and order to a certain point. The conch shell mainly

grants the beholder of it the right over any other to speak and it summons the rest of the

group of boys to what would be called a crude dem
