Playing Three Sports

Being a three-sport letterman is hard work, but a worthy accomplishment. You have to keep your grades up, yourself respectable, and your attitude positive. I, myself, am a three-sport letterman. I play volleyball in the fall, basketball in the winter, and softball in the spring.
Volleyball just might be my ticket to college. I'm a sophomore setter for the Junior Varsity team, but next year I'm moving up to take our senior setter, my role model's place. I may have played varsity this year, if I had come out for the team last year. Volleyball is a very rough game. I enjoy every minute I'm on the court, and fear any moment I'm off the court. I was All-Conference Player and All Conference Academic Player my eighth grade year. I was also inducted into my junior high's Hall of Fame. Volleyball is my life in the fall time. I do not go out or anything. I just concentrate on being the best, and because I'm so competitive, that takes a lot of my time. My third priority in the fall is schoolwork. My second, is what else but the football team.
Basketball is not my favorite sport. I'm four foot nine inches. Needless to say, I get hardly any playing time. This is my first year playing, and the only reason I made the team is because I have a positive attitude and I'm "coachable." The only reasons I went out for the team this year was because all my volleyball friends went out, and that I badly want to be a three-sport letterman. Since basketball is the only female sport in the winter, it was my only way. When I do play, I'm a one or a two. I like playing defensive one and offensive two. My favorite pass (and my teammates find the most amusing) is the between the opponents legs pass. .
Softball is in my opinion one of the greatest sports my high school has to offer. If volleyball is not my ticket to college, then softball will be. Last year, I was a walk-on. I was recruited by the only senior, the varsity's second baseman and catcher, and the coach asked me to join after seeing me joust a junior wrestler/football player.
