Same Sex Marriage - Sin or Right???
The English dictionary sees marriage as “the institution whereby men and women are joined in a special kind of social and legal dependence for the purpose of founding and maintaining a family”. However, the working definition of marriage is being challenged, and many people feel that marriage should be changed to fit a “gay and lesbian lifestyle”. This pressure to change the definition of marriage needs to be considered seriously. If the definition of marriage needs to be changed, what will be the consequences? The history and definition of marriages will now be explored and the recent developments of same sex marriages with the intention of pointing out any effort that will redefine marriage will destroy the institution and therefore should not be attempted. They might as well be influenced by the performance that is seen in homosexuals. This might than result in the child as being seen as gay, by picking up the actions that are seen at home. Than their is the aggravation towards the adolescent, concerning their parents. Children quite possibly could hassle the child because of the atmosphere that they are being raised in. If someone is being raised by parents of the same gender, they would miss the needed influence of the missing gender, and can therefore affect them for the rest of their lives. Many religions do not allow same-sex marriages based on their beliefs that it is wrong and sinful. The five major world religions: Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam and Judaism teach that homosexual behavior is not appropriate in society and therefore should now be look
