Next I then interviewed one of my other roommates, Matt. I also asked him if he had read the article in the paper and as well as Shane he had not. Once again I then explained to him the ideas of the article. His response was much different than that of Shane’s. He as well is not from a large town but said that he did not think that the traffic here in Buffalo was that bad. He makes this judgment based on his experiences in traffic while in other major cities. He said that compared to some other places that he has been before the traffic here in Buffalo is not that bad and he does not see it as a major problem that needs to be addressed immediately.

As you can tell by the results of my survey it says to me that in reality there is not a real problem with traffic here in Buffalo. The only reason there was any difference of opinion is that some of the people I interviewed have lead sheltered lives and had not been exposed to life near a city before and some had gotten the opportunity to get out and see what life in a city was like. So in the end do I believe there is a problem with traffic in Buffalo? No.

The last person that I interviewed was my mother. She had read the article in the paper while she was in town working. She has spent a good amount of time in the area in her life. She grew up in this area and has frequently visited family who still lives in the area. Recently she also has been working in the area so she would have a rather knowledgeable idea of the traffic in this area. When I asked her what her thoughts on it would be she responded to me that she does not believe that the traffic in the area is bad. She said it’s a city and in a city there is going to be traffic it’s just an unavoidable issue, and if you don’t like traffic avoid city areas.
