Changes were made to the countries of Europe during the 1800’s. England went through a change of government while Italy and Germany both went through unification processes to bring together each of their countries. Dramatic changes were all made to Italy, Germany, and England during the 1800s.
England was the most peaceful of the three countries during its change to a more democratic country. In 1815, less than 5% of the male population was allowed to vote, but by 1884, farmers were given the right to vote, virtually giving almost all men the coveted right. Then, in 1918, the most radical change of all, women were given suffrage rights. By 1915, the House of Lords
