High School

From kindergarten to now, my final year in high school, my experiences, friends, classes, and teachers have shaped me into the person I am now. The memories I have, good and bad, will always be there for me to look back on. The good times will always bring me happiness, the bad times will always remind me to make the right choices, and the tough times have shown me that I can get through anything.
My first year of high school, also my first year in a public school, opened many doors for me. I became more responsible and even more independent. Coming from a private school with an 8th grade class with only nine students, I did not know anyone. I wish I had a close friend with me at the time to share the excitement of the first day of high school but I did just fine. I had always been very outgoing and talkative so making friends was not a difficult task. .
After 3 years in high school there have been five girls that have shared so many good and bad times with me and have helped make the first three years unforgettable. Sonja Gilhuys, Stephanie Parazo, Beth Carino, Kristin Hallak, and Stephanie Porter have filled my high school days with so much laughter, love, and encouragement that it got me through every essay and every test. I have learned so many valuable lessons from these five girls that owe much of who I am to them. I never went a day feeling lonely, never cried alone, never hurt by myself, never walked unaccompanied, but each and every day felt loved and blessed. .

The teachers I've had over the years have frustrated me, stressed me out, made me cry, but have taught me so much more than books and facts. Two teachers that stood out were Mr. House, my 11th grade English teacher and Mr. Cassady, my history teacher. Both men were genuine. Mr. Cassady showed me that there are good people out there, despite what anyone says. After having his class, I started looking for the good in people first instead of judging them.
