In my opinion, the character that changes the most in the short story, “Good Country People” is Manley Pointer. In the beginning of the story, when he was first introduced, I believe he had the most positive personalities then any other character. Manley was a very quiet, humble, and curious man. The trait about him that was the most noticeable and respected was his passion for Christianity. He was supposedly a very religious man in the eyes of the other characters such as Mrs. Hopewell.
