Christian church has influenced today’s modern world through their ethical and moral teachings in more then one way. These ethical and moral teachings are based around the Ten Commandments, but Church advised that we follow more then the law says. Christianity has a major role in the current issues being debated in today’s contemporary Australia. These include, sex, rape, drink driving, abuse, smoking, teenage drinking, theft, marriage and divorce, gambling, illegal dealings and suicide. In the following text we will discuss in further detail how these issues are influenced by Christian ethical and moral teachings.

Majority of Australia’s population is Christian, thus the people and the surrounding environment get influenced by the ethical and moral teachings of the Christian Ten Commandments. Ten Commandments are a set of rules that outline the ethical and moral behavior that all Christians should undergo. Usually these commandments are broken either ethically or morally.

temporary Australia. Teen commit suicide as some can’t stand the pressure being put on them though school, adults commit suicide because they are either bankrupt or bored with their life. Jesus teaches us that we shell not commit suicide as only God can decide when our life shell end. This teaching is argued as some don’t believe that a person should suffer for longer if they live in pain or in ‘empty space’. Before people used to be able to go to a doctor and ask to be given an injection which would put them to eternal sleep. But that has been banned by the government because they believe that is both ethically and morally wrong through Christian value. This ceases the freedom of Australian people. The other reason is that sometime people want to end their life for no good reason, e.g. they are either hot headed, angry or in trouble financial, in which case, this troubles could be dealt with the help of Christian people and the church. Using this information we can interrupt that ethical and moral teachings influence Australian lives in both satisfactory and non-satisfactory ways.
