What do we go to war for? Does the government even know the reason why they send out millions of troops out to another country to fight other human beings? Our United States government sends out these troops to many different countries to avoid threats of other leaders across the world. They say it hurts to have loved ones lost, but then why don’t they get off there butts and head over there. Yes, some are too old to send, while others are just the same age of others that they send over. They don’t have to go so why worry about losing my life. Many people who have joined the United States Army, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, National Guard, and others do it mainly for the purpose of serving their country. Some are forced to join one of them because maybe they can’t afford further education any other way.
So is it fair to all those soldiers when we send them to unknown parts of the world to fight wars? We send them out even when it doesn’t involve the U.S. Do other countries come over to the United States when we are having different views and problems
Should the government have a draft? That’s a big question on the people of the United States. Especially, for the young men and their families who haven’t signed up with any branch of the defense department. Not every man intended himself to go to war and when they get a call saying that they have been drafted when a war calls for it, they tend to try anything to get out of it. Some will head up north across the Canadian border and others will do stuff to their bodies so that they cant go to war. This is where we start getting 18yr olds in the army and they have no intention on being there and don’t want too, but we send them out anyways. Why?
In the movie “Saving Private Ryan” the army sends out a group of troops out to look for one man. Which back in that time they didn’t have helicopters to get men. Is that still a good risk for them to take in the middle of the war? Even though his two other brothers died. Why, send out a big group of troops to look for one man?
