Also, there are countless effects consoles which can be purchased, to create different moods; however quality products all need to be bought individually, for anywhere from sixty to two hundred dollars, depending on how technologically advanced the effect is. Where an average consoled guitar set up is just under a thousand dollars, a standard acoustic guitar only costs around three hundred dollars. Also, acoustic guitars are far more portable and allow for impromptu performances. In contrast, one person solely carrying a guitar and amplifier is burdensome and potentially damaging to the equipment.
