The night of when I broke my ankle was the most excruciating experience I have ever encountered. Although I was prescribed penicillin, a robust medication, I continued to suffer pain. Soon after, I was scheduled for surgery at nine o’clock a.m. From there I was placed on anesthetics, in no time I was asleep. I woke up probably three to four hours after the surgery. I began to get my senses back, as I was unaware of everything. All I saw was a heavy cast on my leg and apple juice. I was sent home when I felt comfortable to leave. While I was immovable, I had the pleasure to do exactly nothing. But the negative was that I couldn’t do what I do…play football. I went to the games to support them when I had the energy to. All I could do while I was out was to watch T.V. and of course all I watched was ESPN and NFL games.
