Trio of revenge


            Hamlet is one of the most famous plays from Shakespeare. In this story, three sons were seeking to avenge their father. First of all, Hamlet tried to avenge on King Claudius because his uncle, Clauduis, poisoned his father and claimed the throne. Secondly, Laertes, who was the son of Polonius, wanted to revenge on Hamlet because Hamlet accidentally killed his father, Polonius and Hamlet should also be responsible for the death of Ophelia who was Laertes's sister. And finally, Fortinbras, the prince of Norway, whose father had been killed by King Hamlet many years ago, wanted to take over Denmark as the revenge. Technically, Hamlet and Laertes were successful to carry out their mission. Hamlet killed Claudius by stabbing and forcing him to drink a cup of poison at end. At the beginning and the middle of the play, he thought too much on a issue: to sent his uncle to hell. Another character, Laertes held a different attitude on revenge. When Laertes knew his father was dead, he admitted to pay any cost to kill his enemy. Lastly, Fortinbras got a different kind of satisfaction. He wanted not to seek revenge. Instead of avenging, he wanted to take over Denmark by his own force. At the end, Fortinbras was able to complete his desire. .
             In the story, the ghost first informed Hamlet about his death. The ghost identified himself in Act one; the ghost said, "I am thy father's spirit- (1,5,14). And then the ghost asked Hamlet for revenge as he said, "Revenge his foul and most unnatural murder- (1,5,31). At this point, Hamlet realized that someone had murdered his father.
