For the Sole Benefit of the Consmer

It was a beautiful and warm sunny day, it was the kind of day that’s good enough to go out to the park and play. A woman who has twin boys, but desperately needs sometime for her was just about to start another exhausting day. Her husband had to go to work even though it was his day off. He was called in at the last minute. It was the nanny’s day off, so the woman was left alone. Just as she began daydreaming about a long vacation the doorbell rings. To her surprise it’s her grandmother, she came over to offer a helping hand by watching her grandchildren for the day. It was just what the woman needed. To help her grandmother out she went to the store for her to buy some food for the boys. The only problem is that the boys are allergic to peanuts and reading each labels of content of ingredients takes some time.

The above scene illustrates how the important correct labeling of products is to the consumer. Without that information the boys could have been fed something that caused them to have an allergic reaction. To an extent if they had eaten something which contained peanut or even peanut abstract they could’ve possibly died. This is one of the reasons why government intervention through regul

It is imposed to improve the choice set of those who buy from, work for, or invest in the regulated firm.” (Thompson 35). So even the cost of regulation is beneficial to the one being regulated because with the new set standards the consumer is more readily willing

Today in the study of higher education there is much more need for governmental assistance. Its just like the saying goes, you need money first to make money. With the cost of getting a college education going up each year how can someone afford to pay for it all? The government should pay for people to go to college, get a degree, and have a decent paying job instead of the government paying that person not to work through welfare. No one should miss out on the opportunity of getting a college education simply

ation is for the sole benefit of the consumer! These benefits can be seen in the three areas: first, the increase in living and health conditions, second, in the area of economic development, and third, in the area of competition.

Should have a say in how certain things are regulated. Especially because of costs, services and quality of products which the consumer buys. The goal of such regulation is described by Mr. Rosen, “Its goal is simple: the regulatory process should be designed to block dangerous or ineffective ones to the clinic. While such a system will have a great impact on stopping the flight of our medical companies overseas and maintaining American global competitiveness, its fundamental benefit will be to save lives and increase the quality of life for Americans.” (Epstein 2). And its just as Thompson said, “Economic regulation should only be used at the request and for the benefit of those being regulated.” (Thompson 35).

Besides the environment the government has also improved the housing conditions considerably. “The homeownership rate in the United States is at an all-time high of 66 percent.” (Free 1). Without regulation there would be no set standard and people would be able to charge a large amount of money for a small shack. When buildings are created their needs to be regulation over the grounds its being built on and also on the structure itself, is it suitable to live in?

(Rates, fares, minimum wage, etc.), supply (licensing and certificates), disclosure of information (content labeling), methods of production (safety and health standards).” (Thompson 36). With so many regulations which are regulating our day to day lives we

education people can become a resource of the society, which will now be more productive with those educated in it.
