On September 11, 2001 it was a normal day like any other, but then we were in class when over the intercom the principal announced that the two twin towers just got destroyed in a terrorist attack by flying 2 planes in both of the towers. When these words hit my ears I just hoped that my brother wasn’t in downtown Brooklyn at that time because my brother went to New York that exact week. I asked my teacher if I could of went to call my parents and see if my brother had called them and luckily when I asked he did call and said he was ok. That was a great sign of relief but I still felt bad for the people who did loose their lives in those towers. Now if every time you visit New York there’s like a missing piece in that city and at the same time a missing piece in all of our hearts.

The history of the world hasn’t played a big part in my life. My Mom and Dad did immigrate to Canada form Italy where they were born and brought up. Good things that came
