            Mostly Web sites nowadays uses multimedia like sounds, pictures, animations to make surfing more interesting and amusing. The amount of multimedia use for websites vary base on what kind of website they are. As an example we view 3 websites that vary the level of use in multimedia. .
             One of the sites that use heavy multimedia is kill-bill.com. This is a promotional site for the movie kill-bill. It has a multimedia feature like a long presentation of Macromedia flash which presents the synopsis of the movie. The site also features sound from its flash presentation and from the preview of its trailer. It had shown different pictures from the scene and pictures of the cast. The flash in this site showed a complex animation of its subject which is very entertaining to the audience. Although this site is entertaining too much multimedia could cause a computer to slow down and for some they do not continue to enter the site because heavy cookies and file that they might encounter.
             An example of site that features a moderate use of multimedia we choose beautybar.com. Beauty bar is a retail company that sells innovative and imported beauty products for women and teens. For this site they just used a short funky flash presentation and sounds that could get the attention of their target market which is the female teens, but you can skip the flash presentation anytime you want. It also uses pictures for their product. As a click and brick company it is appropriate for beauty to use pictures for their products so that the customers will have an idea of what the product looks like and its description. The site is also a user friendly site because it features a quick product search and it has divided its categories very well so that the customer can access easily every page. .
             Lastly an example of a company that shows a low use of multimedia is mercurydrug.com. Mercury drug store is one of the largest retailer drug store in the country.
